Nathan Walton

Position: Guard

High School: Westwood

“Nathan started every game last year at point guard and did a very nice job. This year we are moving him to the wing to take advantage of his versatility. Nathan has worked real hard on his game and made himself a better player”

2005-06: As a freshman, Walton averaged 3.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and led the team with 3.5 assists per game. Walton had season-highs of 10 points (vs. Columbia State), eight rebounds (vs. Motlow State), eight assists (vs. Cleveland State), and six steals (vs. Volunteer State).

High School: Walton played for Coach Harold Johnson at Westwood High School. As a senior, he averaged 12.7 points, six rebounds, and seven assists per game and scored a career-high 32 points against Trezevant. Walton was named to the All-District 16AA team and was selected to play in the 2005 Memphis All-Star Game. He also lettered in cross country and was division champion and team MVP.

Personal: Born May 13, 1986, in Memphis, Walton is the son of John Bolton.
