“Leon sat out last season and should be ready for a fantastic
sophomore season. Quick and very athletic, Leon was a tenacious
rebounder in high school and has now developed a shooting touch If
he combines the two he could be really good.”
2006-07: Martin was red-shirted.
2005-06: Martin played his freshman season for Coach Everick
Sullivan at Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana. In 27 games,
Martin averaged 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds.
High School: Martin played for Coach Cheyenne Gibson at
Sheffield High School, where he averaged 19 points, 12 rebounds, 4
assists and 2 steals per game his senior season. Martin was named
honorable mention All-State by The Associated Press.
Personal: Born August 16, 1985, in Memphis, Martin is the son
of Leon and Felicia Martin. |
