“Antonio is a fine shooter and fine defensive player who has
improved his ballhandling skills. He should be a factor in what we
do this season.”
2006-07: Young was a part-time starter at shooting guard for
the Saluqis as a freshman, averaging 6.1 points per game. He led the
team with 56 three-point field goals including six against both
Jackson State and Shorter.
2005-06: Young was red-shirted.
High School: Young averaged 18.0 points, two rebounds, and
three assists per game as a senior under Westwood Coach Harold
Johnson. Young was named All-District 16AA, honorable mention
Associated Press All-State, and to The Commercial Appeal’s Best of
the Preps All-Metro Team. He scored a career-high 33 points three
times - against Fairley, Carver, and Kingsbury.
Personal: Born December 13, 1985, in Memphis, Young is the
son of Laverne Hall. |
