OUTFIELD

Ginny Galloway, one of only two sophomores (academically) on the team, will see time in both left field and right field. "Ginny is one our better defensive outfielders," said Gentry. "She is also improving as a hitter, and was one of our best at the end of the fall."

Christi Morrison, a starter on Bolton High School’s state tournament team a year ago, could see playing time in left, center, or right. "Christi is probably our most versatile outfielder," said Gentry. "She also has a lot of potential as a hitter and just needs to be more consistent at the plate."

Megan Young will see most her playing time in right field. Injured most of her senior season at Bartlett
High School, Young was a starter on Bartlett’s Class AAA state tournament team her junior season. "Megan has one of the best throwing arms among our outfielders," said Gentry. "She is working hard to improve as
a hitter."

Newcomer Melissa Perry joined the team this spring and should plenty of playing time as well. She moved to the Memphis area from Goose Creek, South Carolina, where she was the team’s centerfielder and leadoff hitter. "The coaching staff is learning more about Melissa every day after she joined the team this semester. She will compete for playing time in the outfield immediately."
