OVERALL OUTLOOK
After not fielding a team in 2003, Southwest Tennessee Community College
revives its softball program in 2004 with hopes of qualifying for the
Tennessee Junior and Community College/Region VII Tournament, held May 10-13
in Chattanooga. Despite a roster made up entirely of first year players at
the collegiate level, this goal is within reach. "We have a talented group
of freshman on the team this year with the potential to compete for the West
Division championship," said first-year head coach Keith Gentry. "We played
a very competitive schedule in the fall, which should prepare us for a tough
schedule this spring."
