The Southwest pitching staff will feature the lefty-righty combo of Katie Cerrito and Ginny Glenn. Cerrito, a
southpaw from Houston High School in Germantown, Tennessee, was a three-time member of The Commercial Appeal’s Best of the Preps Team, and played in the Class AAA state tournament as a sophomore. Righthander Glenn, out of Southern Baptist Educational Center in Southaven, Mississippi, was named to the Division 2 All-Conference team as a senior. "Katie and Ginny give us a solid one-two punch as starting pitchers," said Gentry. "In addition, both were among our top hitters during the fall, and will be key players in our offense." Cerrito will also see playing time at first base, second base, and third base when
not pitching.
