Melissa Perry

2004 Fall Season: 
Perry played in 27 games, batting .316.  She was among the team leaders with 11 runs scored, 18 hits, and 20 total bases.  In addition, Perry led the team with a .969 fielding average, committing only one error in 32 chances.

2004 Spring Season: 
Perry played in 41 games, starting in centerfield and leading off for most of the season.  She was third on the team in batting with a .288 average and led the team with 23 runs scored and 4 stolen bases.  Perry was also among the team leaders with 4 doubles, 10 runs batted in, and a .333 on-base average.  She led Southwest outfielders with 6 assists.

High School:
  Perry enrolled at Southwest last spring after moving to the Memphis area from Goose Creek, South Carolina.  She lettered in softball four years at Goose Creek High School under coach Tracey Younts, and was a three-year starter in centerfield.  As a senior, Perry batted .365 and led the team in runs scored and stolen bases.  In addition, she was named Most Valuable Player of her team and was selected to the All-Region team after leading Goose Creek to a 29-7 record.  

Personal:  Born September 3, 1985, in Charleston, South Carolina, Perry is the daughter of Scott and Cindy Perry.
