Spring Season:
Davenport played in 54
games as a freshman, starting 53 at first base. She set the school record
for most put-outs in a season with 287 and also led the team with a .980
fielding average. Davenport batted .259 with four doubles, two triples, one
home run, 14 runs batted in, and ranked third on the team with 49 total
bases.
High School:
Davenport played at Houston High School under coach Chad Becker, where she
was a member of the All-District 15AAA and Commercial Appeal’s Best of the
Preps Teams. As a senior, Davenport batted .480 with six doubles, five
triples, one home run and 33 runs batted in. In addition, she also led the
team with a .693 slugging average and a .653 on-base average. As a
sophomore, she played on Houston’s 2003 state tournament team. Davenport
played summer ball for Germantown, coached by Kevin Dodson.
Personal: Born February 13, 1985, in Corinth, Mississippi, Davenport
is the daughter of Cindy and Larry Davenport.
