Aurora, Colorado and played competitive travel ball for the Colorado Pony
Express. While with the Pony Express, Hammer played in several national
tournaments, including the 18 and under AFA Nationals in both 2003 and 2004.

is the daughter of Gary and Billie Jo Hammer.
