CARYN HUBBARD
Position: Outfield/Pitcher

2006 Spring Season:
Hubbard played in
51games as a red-shirt freshman, including 50 starts in right field. She
batted .217 with one home run (against Columbia State), 16 runs batted in
and a team-leading 11 doubles. Hubbard had three multiple-hit and
multiple-RBI games during the season.
2005 Spring Season: Hubbard was red-shirted.
High School: Hubbard lettered four years at Memphis Central High
School under Coach Karen Young. She was named all-district and all-metro
three years, and was named Team MVP and the MIAA Player of the Year her
senior season. Hubbard compiled a 16-1 pitching record her senior season,
including 11 no-hitters and six shutouts. As a hitter, Hubbard led the city
with 17 home runs. She also lettered on Central’s basketball team. Hubbard
played summer ball for the Lady Warriors, coached by Louis Holmes. In
addition, she coached in the Memphis Redbirds RBI Program from 2002-2004.
Personal: Born January 7, 1986, in Birmingham, Alabama, Hubbard is
the daughter of Reverend Colenzo and Debra Hubbard.
