2007:
Hively started in centerfield and was the Lady Saluqis’ leadoff
hitter as a freshman. She batted.319 and led the team with a .489
on-base average and a Southwest record 22 stolen bases (despite
missing the second half of the season due to a knee injury.) Hively
led the TJCCAA in stolen bases per game and runs per game and ranked
third in on-base average.
High School:
As a senior,
Hively led Adamsville to runner-up in District 15A and Region 8A and
was named to the Sports Writers All-State, all-district and
all-district tournament teams. In 2006, Hively batted .421 with 11
doubles, 3 triples, 19 stolen bases, and 24 runs batted in. She was
named Adamsville’s Athlete of the Year and was a nominee for the
Wendy’s Heisman Award.
As a junior, Hively
was selected Class A All-State by the Tennessee Sports Writers
Association after batting .536 with 7 doubles, 2 triples, and 18
stolen bases. She was also selected to the All-District 15A,
All-District 15A tournament and All-West Tennessee teams and
received Adamsville’s Gold Glove award. A four-year starter for
Coach Todd McGee at Adamsville High, Hively also garnered
all-district tournament recognition in both her freshman and
sophomore seasons.
Personal: Born October 5, 1987, in Selmer, Tennessee, Hively
is the daughter of Teresa Creasy and Clark Hively.
