Starkitsha Luellen

“Star brings a physical presence to the paint. She can also face the
basket and score, is a good rebounder and a great passer for a post player.”
2006-07: Luellen played in 27 games as a freshman and averaged 4.8
points and 3.0 rebounds. In the Region VII semifinal game against Walters
State, Luellen scored 12 points on 5 of 8 shooting in only 21 minutes. She
scored a season-high 17 points versus Jackson State, making 7 of 11 shots
from the field and all three of her free throw attempts.
High School: Luellen played for Coaches Jammie Poole and Robert
Newman at Melrose High School, where she helped lead the Lady Golden
Wildcats to a 20-11 record and a berth in the Region 8AAA tournament her
senior season. Luellen averaged 11.5 points per game as a senior and scored
a season-high of 22 points against Kingsbury. Luellen also lettered in
volleyball and track.
Personal: Born July 9, 1988, in Memphis, Luellen is the daughter of
Alliece Luellen.
