2017-18: Gaines played in 27 games (including four starts) her freshman season at Columbia State Community College, where she averaged 5.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game. She had high games of 15 points (vs. Jackson State), 9 rebounds (vs. Volunteer State and Motlow State), 3 assists (vs. Southwest Tennessee), and 4 steals (vs. Cumberland JV).
High School: Gaines played at Smyrna High School in Smyrna, Tennessee, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class. Gaines was a four-year letter-winner on the basketball team at Smyrna and also played softball, soccer, volleyball and track.
Personal: Born February 23, 1999, in Smyrna, Tennessee, she is the daughter of Jennifer Turner and Johnathan Gaines.
