Forty-three Southwest student-athletes will receive the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association's L. Quentin Lane Award for Academic Achievement for their work in the classroom during the 2025-2026 academic year. It's the second most ever from the Southwest athletic department. To qualify for the award, these student-athletes needed to achieve a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) with a minimum of 24 (college level) hours for the fall and spring semesters with a part-time exception made for graduating sophomores.
The Saluqis' baseball team led the way with twenty-three honorees, followed by softball and women's basketball with seven, women's soccer with four, and both men's basketball with two.

Four Saluqis were 'Diamond Team' recipients for earning a 4.0 GPA – Cameron Baker, Christopher Smith, and Scotty Young from baseball and Jordan Wilson from softball. Baker is a repeat recipient of the Diamond Team award.
Twenty-nine were named to the 'First Team' (3.50-3.99 GPA) –Tylan Graves, Jacob Brandon, Luke Miner, Chris Henson, Jonathan Walsh, Ben Bryant, Brady Cooper, Ben Smith, Ayden McGee, Matthew Bright, Owen Roether, Chase Cameron, Dylin Walters, Tripp Ray, and Declan Spinner, from baseball, Farrah Gomez, Julianna Simmons, and Payton Moss from softball, Journey Williams, Jamiyah Jones, Alexandria Clemmons, Bailey Boone, and Khaleis London from women's basketball, Keegan Pilant, Taelor Barrow, Ella Stacy, and Marlese Casas Reyes from women's soccer, and Eric Jones and Jeremiah Hayes from men's basketball.
Ten were named to the 'Second Team' (3.00-3.49 GPA) –Blake Stricklin, Jeb Cox, Paul Brignole, Dylan Rainey, and Jax Smith from baseball, Bella Crook, Stephanie Johnson, and Breanna Hulsey from softball, and Saaphyri Thompson and Sana'ii May from women's basketball.
